Aloha Everyone & Mahalo for taking interest in my story,
In 1995 I moved from Caracas, Venezuela to the USA. It was supposed to be "Just an adventure" to experience what it was to be on my own, and learn English. I ended up catching a Greyhound Bus with two friends from Miami, FL to Berkley, CA. They stayed, and I continue my journey alone to Kauai. In 1996 I landed on this beautiful rock in the middle of the Pacific ocean. I barely spoke English, had a few dollars to my name, a back pack, a stove, and a tent. I hitchhiked my way from the airport to Secrets Beach, what became my home for the next month. After Secrets I spent months camping around the island, making shell jewelry, and living a simple life. I even lived on a tree house.... To make a long story short, I married, had two beautiful children, and grew roots in this wonderful country. Life hasn't been smooth sailing-to say the least-but it is the struggles that builds us as individuals, gives us character, and strength. |
Prior to moving to the US, I studied Law for three years. On Kauai, I attended the Kauai Community College and graduated with honors and an Associates in Tourism. During my time there I met some inspiring teachers that became life coaches.
I have been fortunate to travel to many places around the world with my children and alone. I have a sincere appreciation for cultural diversity, and consider my self a World citizen. It was my education, independent spirit, and my desire to share my passion for travel with the world what inspired & propelled me to create Kauai Soul Travel. I founded Kauai Soul Travel on June 2013. The name came from the fact that I enjoy putting my heart and soul into what I do. I strive to create memorable experiences on every tour. I don't want to be one more in the book of forgotten tours but one in the book of, remember that fun Venezuelan girl that charmed us with her sweet-spicy character, and taught us so much about her beautiful island!? I want you to learn the meanings behind the sites, I want you to immerse in the spirit of the island, I want to make you feel welcome. To make you smile is my biggest reward. Let me show you Kauai the only way I know how...with Soul. |
