We work with two amazing companies, Airborne Aviation and Sunshine helicopters. Both reputable companies with a perfect and long standing safety record. Airborne aviation Flies a doors off Hughes 500/4 seater so everyone gets a window seat. Their pilots are some of the best on island and are part of the aerial search and rescue team. Sunshine flies two types of aircraft, both of them have two seats in the front and four in the back. Their Whisperstar is bigger and more comfortable. Both companies offer the two front seats under a First Class rate.
Kauai is the only island in the state with no roads that cut across. There is only one main Highway and it doesn't make it all the way around, therefore over 70% of it is inaccessible by car. Weight Restrictions
Airborne Aviation Guests more than 240 lbs and parties of two with a combined weight exceeding 400 lbs must book an additional seat at full retail price. Ages 10 and older. Sunshine Helicopters Any single passenger weighing 240 lbs or more on the FXStar or 290 lbs on the WhisperStar will be required to purchase a comfort seat. The charge for a comfort seat is full retail rate. FAA regulations require all passengers to be weighed at time of check in. |
